First Introduced In The Early 1960S These Jackets Remain State-Of-The-Art In Regards To Design And Quality. The A-2 Deck Jacket Is The Direct Successor Of The Iconic N-1 Deck Jacket And Has Been Issued To Sailors For The Harsh Conditions Of Navy Deck Work. Compared To The N-1 Model The A-2 Was Significantly Updated To Fit Modern Standards, Using Lighter And More Functional Materials, E.G. The Lining Was Updated With A Soft Yet Super Warm Nylon Pile Made Changes To The Collar, And Added A Breast Pocket And Hem Adjuster. In Addition, Later Versions Until The 1980S Were Made In Satin Fabric Similar To The M-65 Jacket, Color Og107, And The Pocket Flap Was Changed From A Triangle To A Flat Flap. Long Story Short: The A-2 Deck Jacket Amalgamated The Best Features From The Past With Modern Standards And Became One Of The U.S. Military’S Most Comfortable And Useful Jacket Designs.
